About

That’s us, Rick Beneteau and Larry Thompson circa 1986. We wrote and recorded a ton of pop demos back-in-the-day and had some sweet successes along the way with covers (Lenny Williams, Wilkins, Catte Adams etc.), a swack of major-artist ‘holds’ that never made it to final vinyl and some top competition wins such as Billboard Magazine‘s first two contests.

But that was yesteryear…

Larry recorded/mixed/produced many artists over the years including working on the Neverending White Lights (Daniel Victor) albums – receiving a Gold Record in the process – most notably the hit single (SOCAN Song of the Year 2006, 2012), The Grace, featuring Dallas Green. Today, you can always find Larry hard at it in his home studio writing and recording songs. Many of these songs have a mission – to uplift and inspire.

Rick, after losing his recording studio and writing gear in a Canadian-style divorce in the early 90’s, went on to become a pioneer in Internet marketing in the very early days of, as he calls it, the Wild Wild Web. In 2006, he co-founded the heavily-endorsed humanitarian non-profit, 10 Million Clicks for Peace. Throughout the 25 non-music years he kept writing meaningful lyric.

So here we are in 2023 having come full circle – sexagenarians glued to the hip again writing and producing songs for film and television. What has changed is that we are no longer starry-eyed songwriter/producers craving a hit record. What hasn’t changed is our deep reverence for stories and feelings, in finding meaning in the ear and heart of the listener, and, in building strong relationships with those we work with. We have totally revamped the best of our 1980’s pop songs and written brand new meaningful songs as well as made crafty lyrics available for co-writing. As such, we hope we can fill some of your music needs with timely, appealing creatives for your film and television projects.
